Fun Weekend

So went to valleyfair today. We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful day! It was sunny, 80 degrees and not that many people there. Couldn't be better.

We met our friend Brad there in the morning and went straight in for some serious riding. Conor and Brad wanted to go straight for the Wild Thing but stopped off first at the Xtreme Swing first. Conor wasn't sure what to think of it. A little scarier then he thought would be. But he used to be afraid of the Wild Thing and now he loves that. So you just never know.

Conor, Brad and I were going to go on the Corkscrew and waited for 15 minutes and just before we were going to get on Conor made a desperate plea to go to the bathroom. And could not hold it. Typical kid. So Brad had to go solo. Next time we'll have to drink a little less lemonade.

Sadie 4 & 5 months pict

Look at this beautifully healthy baby girl. She weighted in at 16 lbs at her 4 month docter's appointment. That's in the 90th percentile for her age. So she's not lacking in the nutrients.

July 2, '09

We started feeding solids at about 4 1/2 months. She wasn't overly excited about it at first. Gave me the "what the hell are you trying to feed me" face. Far more got spit out then was swallowed. But it's all about the learning not the actual eating at this point. So far she's had rice cereal, applesauce and banana. So far the applesauce is the big winner.

Ciara loves to feed her and is constantly asking "when is Sadie going to have breakfast"or "Sadie hasn't had breakfast yet". Anything she can do to help with the feeding process. She also wants me to stop nursing Sadie so she can feed her from a bottle. Always the big helper.

Here's our princess at 5 months. She's starting to roll around abit. She can also sit up if you prop her up in her fat rolls just right :)

Good Bye Good Friend

Well after many wet eyes and sobbing we said good bye to a dear beloved friend. She has served us well and we've had many good times. But it is time to say farewell she will be sorely missed.

Ronan is very upset with the '50 leaving. He's not understanding that it will not be coming back. He just misses Daddy's hot rod.


Our plan is to buy a '50 convertable. Ryan saw it at Back to the '50's and just kinda forgot about it until last weekend when Eric talked about buying our car. Then Ryan went full steam and put it on Craig's list. That's all she wrote.

Here's Sadie's 3 month pictures. I figure I better get it out before she reaches 4 months. Don't want to rush things. She's a great sleeper and will often sleep 11 hours at night!! Couldn't ask for better than that. What a cutie, if I don't say so myself :)

Busy Summer

The summer months are always busy with playing in the park and picnics, but we've added so many things this first month I seem to run more now then I did during the school year!

Ronan just finished Vacation Bible school and had a great time. Although it made it difficult for me to leave everyday. He's going through a strange phase where he wants to do exactly what I don't want him to do. He makes things a little difficult at times. He's also in a little park program Tues and Thurs, but there again it's hit or miss. We'll have to see if we can get him to get in the swing of things and start enjoying it

Conor has taken an interest in tennis so he and Daddy have been going out and practicing. Of course not as often as Conor would like, but that's just the way it is. He's doing pretty good and we might consider doing tennis lessons in the fall. Ciara wants to join in the fun, but she just doesn't have the coordination yet and gets easily frustrated. She just doesn't get that she's not as big as Conor and doesn't understand that she can't do everything that he can. She sure tries hard though and that's why she does so well is most things that she tries.

Ciara and Conor are in T-Ball and swimming lessons together and are loving it. Ciara is ever the social butterfly and talks constantly with the coaches about anything and everything. She's sooo hilarious! And she's doing really well in T-Ball and is doing good in swimming as well. Conor is doing really good in both t-ball and swimming. It's fun to see how they are learning and improving every time.

Everybody is loving the beach days and playing in the water, except Sadie. She's not very impressed by the cool lake water. She's my hot bath girl and is only happy when the water is roasting her skin. But we'll work on her a bit so we can play in the water to cool off.

My goal for my little peanut is that I would like to take a picture on her month birthday. I bought a dress (Conor picked it out) that is for 12 months and will try and put it one her every month to see how she grows into it. So far there isn't much change or is there? You be the judge.

Unwind

I often sit on the couch after the kids are in bed just so I can unwind after a long day of choas. Instead of doing nothing productive I decided to try and do something that will help us communicate with our friends that we don't often see. Plus now that all the Grandparents are away it will be easier for them to see the latest and greatest picts and find out what we are up to.

So I'll start the blog and see if I can keep up with it once in a while :)
